Privacy on this site
What we collect, and what we do not
This page sets out what a static site like this one does and does not collect when you read it. There are no accounts here, nothing to sign up for, and no form that asks you for personal details.
No accounts and no details asked for
You can read every page here without registering, logging in or handing over a name, an email address or anything else that identifies you. The site is built as static pages, which means there is no member area, no profile and no stored preferences tied to you. Nothing on these pages asks you to create a record with us before you can read it.
Where a page discusses our partner's cashier or bonus terms, that is description, not a transaction. Following a link to our partner takes you to a site run by someone else, with its own privacy policy and its own rules about what it collects. Read that policy before you hand over any details, because it governs what happens from that point.
Analytics and what a visit shows
If analytics are running on the site, they record things like which pages were opened, roughly where in Australia the request came from, the browser and device type, and how the visitor arrived. That is aggregate information about traffic, used to see which pages are read and which are not. It is not used to build a profile of you as a person.
Analytics of that kind do not tell us your name, your email address or your card details, because the site never asks for them. Server logs may record an IP address as part of handling a request, which is ordinary for any website. We do not sell visitor information, and there is no list of readers to sell.
Cookies and the Australian Privacy Act
Cookies are small files a site or a third party places in your browser. They may be used here to remember settings or to measure traffic, and analytics providers can set their own. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles are the framework we work to for any personal information handled in connection with this site. Because the site is built not to collect personal details in the first place, most of the Act's obligations are met by simply not holding that information. Where information is held, it is handled in line with those principles.
Asking for anything held to be removed
If you believe this site holds information about you and you want it removed, write to the editorial desk using the contact route published on the site and say what you think is held and why you want it deleted. We will look at the request and respond. You do not need to give more detail than is needed to identify the request.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 you can ask to access personal information held about you and ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong. If you are not satisfied with how a request is handled, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is the body that takes privacy complaints. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
Questions
Do I need to give an email address to read this site?
No. There is no sign-up and no account, and no page here asks for an email address or other personal details before you can read it. Your reading is not tied to a record with us.
How do I ask for information about me to be deleted?
Contact the editorial desk through the route published on the site, say what you believe is held, and ask for it to be removed. If the response does not resolve it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
